no way, and for an example and proof at the war times when the muslims arrested some unbelievers as hostages and they were intellectuals he made them a deal by making every intellectual to teach 10 muslims how to read and write and then he is free to go.
about the unbelievers and that they are not treated as the believers it’s untrue both are treated the same and there is something called “human beings” is Islam and for a proof when an unbeliever died and Mohammed (PBUH) passed through his funeral he stood still and was respecting the funeral’s traditions and then one of the friends told him that the dead man is an unbeliever and the prophet said ” isn’t it a soul?” meaning that it should be respected.
and a lady who used to harm the prophet by putting sharp things in his way so he would get hurt and she did that daily and one day she didn’t so the prophet asked were is she and he knew that she is sick so he went to check on her.
and we always use the phrase from quran ” from ALLAH and to ALLAH we are returning” also means that even if there is a difference now between people in level or standard on anything when we die we will be all the same so we should respect that we are the same from now.

and about the hadith A Muslim should not lie, cheat, kill or steal from other Muslims,this is said for the group of Muslims who were attending,this is not said implying that the non-muslims can be treated that way,lying,cheating,stealing and killing are considered nothing is Islam but Haram and non-acceptable attitude
and especially stealing and killing and cosidered one of the greatest sins is Islam and as in quran meaning that who kills a soul without a right is as if he killed all humans.
and also in quran for who steals,cheats or lies there are alot of ways of Torture all listed in the Quran , seera and hadith. and if you want i can send the whole phrases and where are they exactly so you can revise them.
about the non-muslim slaves and slaves in general,please differ between Islam and Arabs cause that is the most common problem that western and even some eastern people do, when Islam was there arabs used to have foreign slaves (and they used to drink alot too) and Islam wanted to cut off this habit Gradually not suddenly or otherwise people would not accept it and so Islam started by making people or anyone who makes a sin he can repent it by letting go of a slave and so like the drinking habit Islam started by preventing people from praying while they are drunk ,prayer is not accepted and then drinking is later totally not allowed and so is salvery it is not accepted this is an arabian habit and not an islamic one.
